When should Meghdoot Relocations team be contacted for move?
You should contact Meghdoot Relocations team minimum 1 week prior to the actual moving date, plan the move in better manner.
What is the duration of PMS [ Pre move survey]?
It will take minimum 30-40 minutes [ depend on the residence size].
Is the survey necessary / What is the need of survey?
To get the proper estimation of the articles which you wanted to move and also to understand is there any sentimental articles in the shipment which needs our proper attention while packing. Also, to plan the things in better way to avoid any last-minute hassle [like any heavy article in shipment, any stair carry, long carry Etc.. ]
Are There any basic rates for packing of household goods and personal effects?
The rates are depend on the volume of household goods, the mode of packing and the location.
Does my stuffs needs insurance?
Our well experienced crew will pack and handle your articles professionally but while covering long distances, considering the bad roads and infrastructure in some areas, we cannot foresee if there can be a damage or not so, insuring the articles is important / must.
Can I pack anything in the drawers of my dresser or desk?
All loose items must be packed in box to prevent loos or damage. It is recommended that you pack all items and leave the drawers empty.
Will the Relocators pack all the boxes?
Packed by owner boxes or package [ PBO] is not acceptable now either with the insurance company in the event of any claim nor with customs / low enforcement agencies in many countries due to the increased security. it is recommended that you ask the movers only to pack the items.
What should I do with my jewellery and other valuable items?
Terms of extraordinary valuable such as jewellery, money, antiques and stamp collections can be included in your personal hand carry, provided that you notify your local moving representative or these items before the packing and moving day. It is strongly recommended that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you.
How will I know where my shipment is once it leaves my home?

How will I know when my shipment is going to be delivered?
Your customer service representative can provide with the updates regarding the status of your shipment and they will contact you 24 hours prior to the delivery.
Be sure to provide your customer service representative with your contact information at destination. The phone number at your new home is only good if there is someone there to take the call. Be sure to let your moving company know if you can be reached at work, a hotel, a temporary residence or by email. If you cannot be reached, make arrangements with a friend or family member to serve as the liaison between you and the customer service representative.
